Lead Host / Maitre D’*

The Park at 14th is seeking an experienced and professional Maître d’ to join our team and ensure that our guests receive an exceptional dining experience. The Maître d’ will be responsible for managing reservations, greeting guests, seating guests, and overseeing the dining room to ensure that service runs smoothly and efficiently.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Greet guests with a warm and friendly welcome and ensure that they feel valued and appreciated.
  • Manage reservations and ensure that they are properly recorded and organized in accordance with the restaurant’s policies.
  • Seat guests promptly and efficiently, taking into account guest preferences and special requests.
  • Maintain a clean and organized entrance area, including ensuring the availability of necessary supplies and resources.
  • Oversee the dining room to ensure that service runs smoothly and guests are receiving excellent service.
  • Collaborate with other restaurant staff to maintain a cohesive and efficient operation.
  • Handle guest inquiries, concerns, and complaints promptly and professionally, resolving issues to the guest’s satisfaction.
  • Maintain a clean and organized dining room and ensure that tables are properly set and maintained.
  • Train and supervise the host/hostess team, ensuring they provide excellent customer service and adhere to established protocols.
  • Keep up-to-date with industry trends and advancements in restaurant service to ensure that The Park at 14th is providing the latest and most exceptional dining experience to guests.

  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to create a welcoming and positive environment for guests and staff.
  • Excellent organizational skills and the ability to manage reservations and seating in a fast-paced environment.
  • Strong leadership skills, with the ability to manage and motivate a team of waitstaff and other restaurant personnel.
  • A passion for hospitality and a commitment to providing exceptional service to guests.
  • Proficiency in reservation management systems and basic computer applications.
  • Impeccable presentation and professionalism.
  • Strong leadership skills to train and motivate the host/hostess team.
  • Must be available to work flexible hours, including evenings, weekends, and holidays.
