VIP HOST / EVENT MANAGER

 

WE ARE LOOKING FOR VIP HOSTS / MANAGERS WHO PRIDE THEMSELVES IN SUPERIOR CUSTOMER SERVICE. THE PARK AT 14TH, A UNIQUE RESTAURANT-LOUNGE CONCEPT, IS SEEKING UPBEAT, AMBITIOUS CANDIDATES WHO ARE LOOKING TO APPLY THEIR SOCIAL SKILLS IN A PROFESSIONAL ENVIRONMENT. YOU MUST BE OUTGOING, COMMUNICATE EFFECTIVELY AND KEEP FOCUSED ON THE TASK AT HAND AMIDST THE BUSTLING ATMOSPHERE. RESPONSIBILITIES INCLUDE BUT ARE NOT LIMITED TO:

- Mingle with customers at The Park to evaluate their needs
- Collect information from key clientele for future events
- Maintain client database
- Maintain consistent communication with new and regular key clientele
- Interface w/ notable, high profile guests and still maintain focus
- Network at local events and venues to introduce new clientele and invite them to The Park
- Provide regular input on and initiate methods for improving customer service and marketing
- Working knowledge of Microsoft Word and Excel is essential
 

SALARY: $50,000-75,000 WITH POTENTIAL FOR GROWTH

 

MARKETING EXECUTIVE ASSISTANT

 

THE PRIMARY OBJECTIVE OF THIS POSITION IS TO PROVIDE SUPPORT TO A BUSY ENTERTAINMENT ENTREPRENEUR PRINCIPAL WHILEALSO ACTING AS A LIAISON BETWEEN HIM AND MANAGEMENT, VENDORS, AND CLIENTS. ADMINISTRATIVE STRENGTHS SHOULD BE A GIVEN. CREATIVITY, COORDINATION, AND IMPLEMENTATION SKILLS ARE KEY.

 

WHAT YOU WILL DO:

 
- Access and screen Principal’s telephone and emails and provide assistance to determine prioritization
- Plan and develop communications to keep clients and staff abreast of current information
- Maintain various databases for marketing/events
- Record detailed minutes of all meetings and follow up as necessary to ensure completion of all tasks
- Plan, coordinate and implement all aspects of weekly and special events
- Work closely w/ graphic and web designers to keep on task, up to date and on schedule
- Ensure that internet outlets have consistent, current venue information
- Follow up on tasks assigned by Principal to management, providing status reports to Principal until completion
- Plan, coordinate and implement special events
- Generate new ideas for marketing initiatives using various sources including internet, industry publications and previous experience
- Research and present the latest marketing innovations on an ongoing basis
- Keep current schedules for: marketing production, events, client meetings, relevant trade events as necessary
- Maintain positive business relationships through consistent communication, follow through and appreciation gestures
 

QUALITIES AND SKILLS THAT YOU WILL NEED:

 
- Computer savvy and proficient in Microsoft Office programs, particularly Word and Excel
- Excellent oral communication including the ability to express oneself clearly and effectively in positive or negative situations, getting clarification as needed and participating in meetings
- Excellent written communication. Must be able to write clearly and professionally, always editing precisely for spelling and grammar and varying writing style according to the situation
- Ability to handle and prioritize multiple tasks simultaneously and work amid interruptions
- Detail oriented and resourceful
- Commitment to learning the industry and the related business acumen
- Ability to work individually while recognizing the success of the team as the ultimate goal. Initiate the building of morale and team commitments to goals and objectives
- Demonstrate ongoing knowledge of the market and competition. Understand business implications of decisions.
- Maintain consistent organization recognizing the importance of completing tasks thoroughly and on time
- Great people skills keeping focus on good boundaries around personal and professional life

SALARY: $65,000-90,000 WITH POTENTIAL FOR GROWTH

THE PARK AT 14TH IS SEEKING A FULL-TIME GO-GETTER WHO IS ASSERTIVE AND ENERGETIC WITH EXCELLENT COMMUNICATION SKILLS. AS PART OF OUR TEAM, YOU MUST BE A SELF-STARTER, WITH A WELCOMING OUTGOING DEMEANOR AND A WILLINGNESS TO BE FLEXIBLE WITHIN A MULTI-FACETED ORGANIZATION. THE POSITION REQUIRES AN EXCELLENT APTITUDE FOR RELATING TO CLIENTS, THE INNATE ABILITY TO MULTITASK AND STRONG ORGANIZATION SKILLS. OUR IDEAL CANDIDATE MUST HAVE A DILIGENT WORK ETHIC, BE PUNCTUAL AND DEPENDABLE. HOSPITALITY EXPERIENCE IS A PLUS.

- Facilitating incoming enquiries to maximize sales opportunities
- Attending networking and social events on behalf of Park
- Consistently exploring avenues to increase event sales
- Serving as the main point of contact for event site visits
- Orchestrating the planning of event logistics to ensure client satisfaction and facilitating communication with all management and staff
- Preparing and maintaining event timelines
- Ensuring the administration and execution of all events
- On-site management of events as needed
 

COMPENSATION: 30,000-35,000 BASE + COMMISSION

 

RECEPTIONIST / OFFICE ASSISTANT

THE PARK AT 14TH IS SEEKING A HOSPITALITY CONNOISSEUR TO ORCHESTRATE A TEAM OF LIKE-MINDED SERVICE PROFESSIONALS IN PROVIDING A CONSISTENTLY EMBRACING ATMOSPHERE FOR EACH AND EVERY GUEST. OPERATING ON THE PREMISE THAT THERE IS ONLY ONE CHANCE TO MAKE A FIRST IMPRESSION, THE DOOR STAFF MUST ALWAYS STRIVE FOR NOTHING SHORT OF EXCELLENCE. THE IDEAL PARK FRONT DOOR MANAGER WILL HAVE NOT JUST EXPERTISE, BUT ALSO A PASSION FOR SERVICE. HOSPITALITY AND COMPLIANCE MANAGER

 

We are looking for a HOSPITALITY AND COMPLIANCE MANAGER who prides himself on superior customer service. The Park at 14th, a unique restaurant-lounge concept, is seeking an upbeat, ambitious, effective decision maker who is looking to apply his skills in a professional environment. You must be outgoing, communicate effectively and keep focused on the task at hand amidst the bustling atmosphere.

 

RESPONSIBILITIES INCLUDE BUT NOT LIMITED TO:

 
- Completion of all required safety and compliance training classes
- Adherence to and leadership in maintaining Park standards of excellence
- Hiring, scheduling, training and supervision of security host staff
- Development of ongoing systems that contribute to progressive improvement
- Consistent and keen observation of guest interaction to mitigate potential issues
- Completion of nightly incident log
- Inventory and maintenance of pertinent equipment (radios, flashlights, cameras)
- Consistent communication with other members of the management team
- Providing regular input on and initiate methods for improving customer service and satisfaction
- Nightly and weekly reporting of event recaps, concerns, and suggestions
- Previous hospitality experience is a plus but not required
 

Salary: Up to $75,000 annually, commensurate with experience.
